Julia Fox is clapping back after reports that she’s broken-hearted after a split with Kanye West.
The Daily Mail claimed Fox had been seen “tearfully jetting out of LAX airport alone” after deleting all photos of West from her Instagram. The latter is at least somewhat untrue, as West is still visible in even her most recent post, and the actress has taken to social media to deny reports that she was crying over a breakup.
“‘TEARFULLY,’” she wrote, adding three laughing emojis. “@dailymail yall are straight trash I haven’t cried since 1997 and I especially wouldn’t cry over THIS!! if anything I’ve been laughing more than before.”
She also said that she was “fkin late for a plane to go see the only men that matter which is my son and my dad,” and shared another video of her walking through the airport with the caption “Crying where @dailymail.”
Fox and West did break up, according to reports on Monday morning.
“Julia and Kanye remain good friends and collaborators but they are no longer together,” a spokesperson for Fox told Us. It was not immediately clear in what way they are “collaborators.”
The two were only together for a short time, although they made the most out of the publicity — including that weird video and photo set with other celebs, including Madonna. The whole time, Kanye continued to speak publicly about how he wanted to get back with Kim Kardashian, while airing out his grievances with her as well.
Still, Fox insists she isn’t troubled by the end of her short relationship.
“The media would love to paint a picture of me as a sad lonely woman crying on a plane by myself but it’s NOT TRUE!!” she wrote. “Why not see me for what I am which is a #1 hustler. I came up on yall lol and not only that but Kanye and I are on good terms! I have love for him but I wasn’t in love w the man Jesus Christ what do u guys think I am 12 years old?!”
Saying “I’m not 12” is a weird defense for claiming you weren’t in love with someone, but confusing social media outbursts have always been Kanye’s thing, so maybe Julia picked up a thing or two during their time together.
But whatever went on during that time, she’s keeping quiet about for now, instead teasing that people will “have to buy the book when it comes out.” We can only hope that’s a joke.
