The internet can often feel like a toxic wasteland but then something amazing goes viral, and we’re reminded why we use it. This week, that amazing thing is one husband’s hilarious handwritten note to his neighbor—who may or may not be sleeping with his wife.

The husband, an unidentified man from the United Kingdom, took his grievances to Reddit. He shared the note he had written for the neighbor, with the caption: “Came home to my partner in bed with someone else! Pretty sure I struck the right tone?”

As for the note itself, well, that’s when things get downright funny.

“Hey, just wanted to let you know that you’re sleeping with someone who’s married and we’re not in an open relationship so you shouldn’t really be doing the dirty with her,” the note read.

“I appreciate things can get lonely so don’t mind you popping over for a brew temporarily whilst I’m out but in the future could you give me a heads up so I can move my car for you please.”

Finally, he signed off with an adorable: “Cheers, No. 86.”

Of course, Redditors were quick to respond to the post with their own thoughts and feelings about the situation. Users were particularly concerned about how this sad spouse planned on delivering his note to the neighbor in question.

Are you going to sellotape this to your wife?

Duh he’s going to lift his wife’s arm, stick the note under her arm pit and snap the arm back into position so the dude sees it clearly next time he approaches her.

Other users commented on how passive aggressive the entire note felt.

Another user shared what they would have written to the naughty neighbor, if they found themself in that situation.

But most users were having a good laugh at the situation, others were more suspicious.

Someone posted a note yesterday complaining about someone parking in their parking space and they were teased about how passive it was. This post is parodying that one.

Whether the post is real or just a parody, we all got a few laughs, which is what truly matters.
