A guy was desperately trying to find out how his roommate’s date was going—so he reached out to the Arizona Diamondbacks via Twitter to see if they could locate the couple and show them on the big screen.

Connor Buckley, aka “BuckArmy” on Twitter, couldn’t wait to find out how his buddy’s baseball game date was going—so he launched a search mission that ended up in a very epic thread that hopefully was more fun than embarrassing for the couple.

“Hey @Dbacks my roommate is on a date 6 rows above home plate. Any chance we could tell the camera man to zoom out a bit so I can see how it’s going,” he tweeted.
At first the Diamondbacks account pointed him to the television crew:

But the Diamondbacks were still curious, even though they had trouble locating the two…

So Buckley gave them some new directions:

And, the Diamondbacks came through!

And then memorialized the tweet (and the date) in a Twitter thread. They called it “a modern love story.”

The baseball team said that they gave the pair some game-unused baseballs to remember the event.

The couple looked pretty happy on what was later found out to be their second date, so the Diamondbacks’ Twitter account naturally asked if there would be a third. The answer?

“I can confirm there will be a 3rd date,” said Buckley’s roommate. “May need to talk to my roommate about boundaries going forward but in all seriousness thank you guys for giving us an unforgettable night.”
