Social media was rocked recently after a report came out that Anna Kendrick and Bill Hader have managed to date for over a year without the public being any wiser about their relationship.
“Anna has been dating Bill quietly for over a year,” an anonymous source told People. “They’re both hysterical so they must keep each other laughing all of the time. She’s really, really happy.”
The two worked on a film together in 2019 — Noelle, in which they played siblings and the offspring of Santa Claus himself, forced to take over after his untimely death. Apparently, their off-screen chemistry was more romantic than familial, although they reportedly “got together well after the movie,” and had actually met years earlier.
Kendrick has largely been quiet about her relationships in the past, and the last anyone knew,
she had been in a relationship with cinematographer Ben Richardson since 2014. Hader publicly split with Rachel Bilson during the summer of 2020 after less than a year of dating.
The pandemic has caused a lot of relationship shakeups, and People’s anonymous source credits this weird time we’re living in for why the couple was able to keep their emerging relationship a secret all this time.
Still, fans of both were left reeling from the revelation.
Although some quickly took to the idea.
And others were more focused on how these Saturday Night Live guys just keep pulling.
Neither actor or their reps have commented publicly or confirmed the relationship as of yet but when an anonymous source speaks out about a celebrity relationship, the internet listens.
