OKLAHOMA MOM GETS 7 LIFE TERMS AFTER 11-YEAR-OLD GAVE BIRTH
An Oklahoma judge sentenced Cherie Walker, 34, to seven consecutive life terms on October 30, 2026, for allowing her husband, Dustin Walker, to sexually abuse her 11-year-old daughter, who then gave birth to his baby at home. Prosecutors said Cherie Walker knew her husband was abusing the girl and did nothing to stop it.
A Muskogee County jury convicted her on July 17, 2026, of one felony count of enabling child sexual abuse and six counts of child neglect, according to Yahoo News and True Crime News. The jury recommended life in prison on every count, and the judge ordered the sentences to run back to back.

The investigation began in August 2025, when authorities learned the girl had given birth at home. She reportedly had no prenatal care and no medical help during the birth. DNA testing showed the baby’s father was her stepfather, Dustin Walker.
Five other children were living in the house, which court documents described as “deplorable.” Muskogee County Assistant District Attorney Janet Hutson said the girl was 10 and 11 years old during the abuse. She said the home left the children without “even the ability to get a drink of water in the middle of the night.” Hutson said the case affected everyone who worked on it, herself included.

According to People, jurors heard four days of testimony from emergency responders, law enforcement officers, medical professionals, Department of Human Services employees, church members and family members.
Cherie Walker has denied knowing her daughter was pregnant. Oklahoma law says a parent permits abuse when the parent knows, or reasonably should know, that the child will be placed at risk. Enabling child sexual abuse and child neglect each carry a maximum of life in prison and no mandatory minimum, so her sentence could have ranged from a fine to life.
Dustin Walker pleaded guilty on March 26, 2026, to sexual abuse of a child under 12 and six counts of child neglect. News On 6 reported that he was sentenced on June 29, 2026, to life in prison for the sexual abuse. He also received 15 years on one neglect count, five years on each of four counts and seven years on another, all to be served before the life term.
The girl’s grandmother, Michelle Justus, who is Cherie Walker’s mother, is charged with six counts of child neglect in the case. She told KJRH she was unaware of the pregnancy and that the girl “did not look pregnant.” Justus waived her right to a jury trial, so a judge is expected to decide her case.
